Exploring the Wild Yorkshire Peaks by Train

It runs from Manchester to the heart of the national park. Since it started in June 2024, it has become a favorite for hikers seeking raw, natural landscapes.

The terrain is famous for its limestone pavement. This rock formed from ancient sea creatures, creating deep cracks and flat surfaces. Hikers can explore the three main peaks: Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside. Each mountain reaches about 700 meters high. Experts can complete all three in one day, but many visitors prefer splitting the hike over a weekend.

During the walk, you might spot rare birds like ravens or skylarks. The path leads through open land toward the village of Feizor. After a long trek, walkers can reach Settle to enjoy a hearty meal in a local pub. This journey is perfect for those wanting to escape the city and enjoy the fresh air of the countryside.
