This dedication culminated in the establishment of Wray Valley Camping, a site that prioritizes ecological health over conventional convenience. By enforcing a car-free policy and utilizing low-impact infrastructure, the owners minimize human pressure on the delicate woodland floor.

The campsite serves as a gateway to the broader landscape, situated near the Wray Valley Trail. This path, which follows a defunct railway route, allows explorers to traverse the region while observing rare species like the pied flycatcher. Unlike popular sites that suffer from over-tourism, this location remains intentionally quiet. The owners argue that requiring visitors to exert extra effort encourages a deeper appreciation for the environment.

This model of tourism suggests that conservation and hospitality can coexist if managed with restraint. By eschewing modern luxuries like electric hookups, the site maintains a carbon-negative profile.
